This exceptionally flavorful bean does not share the same notoriety as its Kenyan neighbor, but possesses a more lively and concentrated cup. The bean itself is smaller in size, thus the name "Peaberry." The cup is medium with a full body and flavor. It has a nuttier flavor than Kenya AA and a less crisp, dry finish making it softer to the feel. Tanzanian Peaberry is grown on the slopes of Kilimanjaro near the Kenya border at elevations of 3,000 to 6,200 feet. Its main harvest time is from October to late February.
