Our Colombian Supremo has medium to heavy body. Heavier in weight than most American coffees, this Colombian bean has a more potent mouth feel and covers more of the tongue. Rich in taste and smooth in texture, this coffee also possesses a full aftertaste carrying hints of woodiness in its flavor. The fullness and weight of this bean allow it to translate well into all types of roasts from Full City to French. Historically the "typica" tree has been the prevalent coffee tree for producing the region's outstanding beans. Recent marketing campaigns and heightened demand for Colombian coffees have resulted in the creation of lower quality, high production hybrids favored by an increasing number of coffee growers. We choose to import from older estates that maintain the legacy of the "typica" tree and its inherent quality.
